It was the first outdoor track meet of the season at the Arizona Spring Break Fiesta Meet. Hurdler Riley Hunt wore BYU on his chest for the first time. He got in the blocks ready to start his race and looked up to analyze each and every hurdle. Nothing was on his mind, all his senses lost as he waited for the sound of the gun. BANG! Hunt sprinted and his surroundings instantly blurred. It was all muscle memory to him by then. He heard clashes from his opponents knocking the hurdles. With each hurdle, he attempted to go faster and faster. Sprint, jump, sprint, jump, sprint, jump! He sped up his pace and pushed his body to the brink until he crossed that finish line snatching first place in Tucson. He looked at the clock 14:00 “You’ve got to be kidding me,” said Hunt. Disappointed, he looked again, and it corrected to 13:94. A personal record for Hunt as well as number five in the record books in BYU history.

Rainy conditions in California have continued to take place for BYU athletic contests throughout the year, ranging from golf invitationals to outdoor track and field events. Despite this, Mother Nature could not deter determined athletes set on accomplishing feats and bringing fame to their respective schools.

The NCAA Indoor Track and Field season concluded this weekend by courtesy of the Track at New Balance facility in Boston, Massachusetts. BYU had a total of nine first-team All-Americans and nine second-team All-Americans across the two days of competition.

BYU's men and women's track and field teams competed at Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays from Thursday to Saturday. This year marks the 95th running of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The meet is being held at Mike A. Myers Stadium, the host of the 2023 Division I outdoor championships.

BYU men's and women's track and field teams claimed six overall event wins at Saturday's Cardinal Classic.

As BYU track and field competes in its last year of independence, associate head coach Mark Robison is anxious to get the program up and running toward success next year upon joining the Big 12.

The Men's and Women's track and field team traveled to Fayetteville, AR. for the Razorback Invitational on Friday to compete in the two-day event. Among BYU and Arkansas, athletes from 14 other schools, including nationally ranked Iowa State, Florida State, and Stanford, competed.

BYU's Ashton Riner wins javelin national championship

The BYU track and field team concluded its outdoor season opener Saturday at Cromwell Field and Loker Stadium in Los Angeles, placing several athletes in multiple events and continuing to climb the record books.

BYU Track and Field concluded its indoor season Saturday in another historic meet at the NCAA Indoor National Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, bringing home a top-10 overall finish, an individual national title and multiple All-American honors.

Winning races and competing at a high level is every runner’s dream, and for BYU’s Austin Klingler, it’s been a reality.

Several athletes achieved personal bests while rewriting the school record books as BYU concluded its regular season at the Cougar Indoor Invitational II Friday and Saturday.
