Man on the Street: What's your reaction to the NCAA sanctions against Penn State?

'I think that morality is the most important characteristic in modern society and the most lacking, but I'm not sure to what degree Paterno is responsible for Sandusky's actions. ... I think that as amateur athletics become more in the spotlight they undergo much greater scrutiny, and they are held to a much higher standard.'

'They fined them pretty well and took quite a lot away, but I'm glad that they were actually quite strong in holding to the standards that we should live by. It seems that sometimes people get away with immoral acts because they are famous or have money and nothing happens to them. We should care more about the morals at stake.'
