The Best Friends Animal Society worked to save hundreds of dogs and cats during the California wildfires. Many of these pets were transported to Utah with the help of crews from Best Friends organizations from LA, Kanab and Salt Lake City, as well as other groups and volunteers. The Best Friends Animal Society has helped several animal welfare organizations impacted by the fires, moving animals from LA shelters and giving them a safe place to stay in foster homes, adoptive homes, or out-of-state.
