Finally, it’s time to start celebrating Christmas again. It’s something most people look forward to every year. I am especially excited for the festivities and celebrations this year, after what last year was like.

It was on my second or third date with my eventual husband when he told me the same old, classic line: 'I can't wait to get out of Utah.'

So far this semester, have you had to take a midterm at the BYU Testing Center, only to find that the line extends and loops around the back of the Joseph Smith Building and the Brimhall Building, all the way to the front of the JSB?

In light of what researchers know about pornography today, the simplistic understanding of pornography held by some members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints needs to be re-evaluated.

After taking a statistics exam freshman year at BYU, my friend looked at me and said she was upset that she had only gotten a 94%. I was baffled. I had gotten a 78% but was glad I hadn't received a worse grade. I asked her why she was upset when she had received an A. She told me she was upset because she could've done better — a 94% wasn't a perfect grade.

Nearly 2,000 years ago, Roman philosopher Seneca taught: 'The greatest remedy for anger is delay.' This philosophy still rings true today, and today’s political and social arenas would surely benefit from practicing delayed anger.

I was 16 years old when I officially joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a lone member in a ward full of large families, I often felt aloof and struggled to feel like I truly belonged. I sat next to various families during sacrament meetings. I didn’t attend seminary, never attended a Family Home Evening, didn’t know the words to 'Popcorn Popping' and often avoided answering questions in Sunday School because of fears that I would answer incorrectly.
