Temples around the world will gradually return to normal operation now that more people are immunized. Face mask requirements and capacity restrictions will be eliminated.

Latter-day Saints mourned the death of Sister Donna Edith Smith Packer after she passed away this weekend. Sister Packer died at the age of 94 in her home last Saturday. She was the wife of the late Boyd K. Packer who served as president of the Quorum of the Twelve of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Pacific Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is urging members who want to aid those in Tonga affected by recent natural disasters to donate to the Church's humanitarian fund.

It has been four years since Russell M. Nelson became prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In that time, more than 70 changes and announcements have been made within the Church.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint's office building plaza at Temple Square is set to be completed by the end of the year. The plaza's renovations include waterproofing the concrete surface, adding Styrofoam blocks under the landscaped areas, new landscaping features and hanging flags from nations across the world.

President Russell M. Nelson invited members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to spread the light of Christ to transform lives during a special Christmas message broadcast released this morning.

The First Presidency anticipates the Salt Lake Temple and Temple Square renovations will be completed in 2025, according to an update released on Dec. 13. The previous expected completion year was 2024.

President Russell M. Nelson stood at the pulpit in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Thousands of people watched him speak through the worldwide broadcast of General Conference in April 2019, when he announced plans to build eight more temples across the world, including one in Tooele Valley.
