Former Cougar signs with Slovakian club

Former BYU Basketball player Zac Seljaas announced on his Instagram yesterday that he signed with BC Prievidza, a club in Slovakia that plays in the Slovak Extraliga.

Last season as a Cougar Seljaas averaged 6.6 points, 4.03 rebounds, 0.84 assists, 0.78 steals, and 0.25 blocks a game. He was known for his hustle plays and had numerous crucial stops on the defensive end for BYU.

Seljaas is the second player from last year’s roster to earn a professional contract. He joins former teammate TJ Haws in Europe, where Haws’ season in the Polish league is already underway.

BYU Basketball’s 2020 senior class also included Jake Toolson, who has yet to sign a pro contract, and NBA Draft prospect Yoeli Childs. The draft will be held virtually this year on Nov. 18.
