Former BYU basketball guard and all-time NCAA leader in career triple-doubles Kyle Collinsworth has signed a partially guaranteed two-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

Collinsworth played in six games with the Mavericks this summer. He averaged 15.3 minutes per game, 4.2 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 2.5 assists per game.

Collinsworth averaged 15.3 points, 7.3 assists and 8.2 rebounds per contest as a senior at BYU. He went undrafted, but appears to have found a beneficial situation in Dallas. His size (6-foot-6) allows him to play a number of different positions, which is appealing to the Mavericks. Collinsworth will still need to improve on his shooting, but he seems to have a shot at making the Mavericks regular season roster.
