BYU Cougar forward Kalani Purcell has been honored as this week's West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Purcell played two outstanding games on the road in California this week. She scored a career-high 17 points while grabbing 12 rebounds during BYU's win over Santa Clara, earning her sixth double-double of the season. Purcell also played all 40 minutes for the third time this season.
Purcell was key in the Cougars' victory over San Francisco on Saturday. She dished out a career-high nine assists and scored six points. Purcell also had four rebounds and was 2-for-2 with free throws.
Purcell is the second BYU player this year to be named a conference player of the week. This is Purcell's first honor.
Purcell is a junior from Hamilton, New Zealand and played at John Paul High School.
