The BYU women's volleyball finished off its regular season with a win over Pepperdine in four sets.
Alexa Gray led the team with an astounding 29 kills and 12 digs alongside Amy Boswell's 14 kills and six blocks.
BYU began the match by giving up two points from a kill and an ace off a Pepperdine serve. The Cougars quickly caught up off of a pair of kills from Cosy Burnett and Gray. The two teams battled back and forth keeping the score within two until it was 11-11. From there Pepperdine kicked into gear and went on a 12-5 run taking a significant lead of 23-16. BYU then went on an 8-0 run to give them the lead of 24-23. Both teams once again rallied back and forth keeping the score within one making it so neither team could claim the set. Pepperdine finally finished the set off 32-30 from two attack errors from the Cougars.
BYU started the second set off much stronger by going on an 11-1 streak led by Gray with four kills. Pepperdine attempted to catch up, but the Cougars kept up their scoring streak. BYU finished the set by soundly defeating Pepperdine 25-9.
The third set started off with BYU giving up three points from two kills and an attack error. The Cougars caught back up making the score 5-5 with Jenna Tunnel giving BYU a pair of kills. From there the teams rallied back and forth keeping the score within three until the final points when the score was 21-21. Pepperdine then had three attack errors and one ace from BYU made the score 24-21. The Cougars finished the set 25-21 off a kill from Camry Willardson.
The fourth set started off with both teams rallying back and forth until the score was 10-10. BYU then went on a 9-2 run with four kills from Gray. But Pepperdine responded with a 10-2 run making the score 21-20, but BYU was able to finish the game winning 25-23 off of another kill from Gray.
This was the Cougars' last regular season game as they now await to begin tournament play.
