Victoria's Secret has teamed up with BYU to provide Cougar fans with fashionable game day apparel this football season.
BYU is now represented in the popular Victoria's Secret Pink College and Pro collection. Victoria's Secret Pink developed the College and Pro line to provide sports team apparel to football fans across the nation. The line, sold in stores and online, includes clothing designed for 77 college and 27 NFL teams.
Victoria's Secret approached BYU a few years ago when they began their collegiate line and asked if the university wanted to be represented, but BYU originally declined the offer.
'We decided to hold off to see how it would play out both with the fans and how the merchandise was marketed,' BYU licensing and trademark manager Adam Parker said.
But the College and Pro line has proven itself to be a hit as one of the go-to sources for women's game day clothing. Victoria's Secret made another offer to BYU last year, according to Parker, and this time the university accepted.
'As the years went by, I would notice a lot of girls at BYU wearing the Victoria's Secret Pink line of clothing, (such as) sweatshirts and pants,' Parker said. 'Last year Victoria's Secret again approached me about giving it a try. I agreed and it has been available in stores since July 2015.'
Female BYU fans are excited for the new options available at the store.
'Their stuff is cute, trendy and more importantly comfortable so for them to have BYU gear makes it exciting to go get something cute for the next game,' BYU junior Mckenzie White said.
