BYU women's pole vaulter Rachel Fisher earned a spot on the CoSida Capital One Academic All-District 8 First Team according to a news release issued on May 30, 2013.
Fisher, a senior on the track and field team holds a 3.92 GPA as a biophysics major.
Fisher has enjoyed success both on and off the track this season placing first in numerous indoor and outdoor meets. Her top vault during the outdoor season was 4.01 meters and placed her among the top pole vaulters in the West.
According to the news release, Fisher now advances to the Capital One All-America Team ballot where she could earn a place as a first, second, or third team Academic All-American.
