BYU men's soccer will play its third road game this week on Saturday against the Ventura County Fusion.
The Cougars travel to Ventura this weekend looking to avenge last season's losses to the Fusion. BYU dropped both games against Ventura County last year, including a 2-0 loss at South Field.
Both teams are currently undefeated in league play. BYU is coming off of a win earlier in the week against the OC Blues and a draw Thursday night against a solid Fresno squad.
The Fusion were last year's division champs and only lost two matches the entire season. They eventually lost in the conference championship game.
BYU is hopeful that a stellar defensive effort against Fresno will continue on Saturday. The Cougars are currently tied for first place in the Southwest Division with Fresno. Ventura County is in third place after a 1-0 victory over the LA Misioneros.
The Cougars will return home for a week before travelling to Real Colorado on May 18, to take on the Foxes.
