BYU baseball to play Utah and Pepperdine

The BYU baseball team (11-12) will play the University of Utah (11-10) in Salt Lake City on Tuesday night before beginning a three-game home series against Pepperdine on Thursday.

The Cougars are coming off a series win against the University of Kansas last week, winning two of the three games played, and coach Mike Littlewood looks forward to facing the Utes.

'Playing Utah was always special as a player and I'm looking forward to being involved in it as as coach,' BYU coach Mike Littlewood said.

BYU has defeated Utah over the years at a ratio of more than 2:1. BYU leads the nation in double plays, averaging 1.47 per game.

Tuesday's game will be held in Salt Lake City at 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday's games against Pepperdine will be held at Miller Park and will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday's game will begin at 1 p.m.
