Aggies' forward Danny Berger was hospitalized and unable to play following his collapse during a practice. Both BYU coach Dave Rose and Utah State coach Stew Morrill agreed the game would be postponed for a later time in the season.
Tyler Haws, who scored 28 points in a win over Portland, credited his offensive success to the rest the team received last week.
'Recovery is obviously big,' Haws said. 'Each individual has to take care of their body, but we're excited to play. A week off does a lot for your legs and we'll be ready to play Tuesday.'
Because the game against Utah State is a non-conference game, the preparation will be different for Rose and his staff, however they are still anticipating a competitive game.
'This will be a little different because a lot of the scouts have been done and now we have to redo it all,' Rose said. 'They've had a lot of changes to their line-ups.'
After BYU's win over Portland on Saturday night, their record has improved to a 19–8 overall record and a 9–4 WCC record. The Utah State Aggies hold an 18–6 overall record and a 9–5 WAC record.
'It's always a battle,' Haws said of playing against the Aggies. 'They're always ready to play and we'll expect a fight for sure.'
Tip-off will be on Tuesday at 7 p.m MST at the Marriott Center. The game will be broadcast live on BYUtv and KSL radio.
