Zac Blair played out of his mind yesterday at the NCAA Golf regionals in Palo Alto, Calif., where he shot a four-under 66 and tied for the 1st place spot.
“Zac got off to a good start today,” BYU coach Bruce Brockbank said in a press release. “He made some key five-foot putts to keep himself in it.”
Blair 'kept himself in it' also by hitting a 35-foot putt on hole 17 that earned him par and saved his spot at the top of the leader board.
Blair is no stranger to being the guy at the top of the leader board. In his collegiate career, he has won two tournaments and has had 18 top 20 finishes. Blair also had the best stroke average in the MWC last year and is ranked 10th this year nationwide.
