Upcoming Scholarships & Fellowships

Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Arts Award: Provides scholarships up to $50,000 per year to help students earn graduate degrees in performing, visual arts or creative writing. Deadline: Feb. 9.

Daughters of the American Revolution: The DAR offers several scholarships of $500 to students of different disciplines. Deadline: Feb. 15.

American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarships: The American Bar Association (ABA) offers scholarships of up to $15,000 for students attending law school. Deadline: March 1.

Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship: Awards up to $5,000 for study abroad. Eligible applicants must be currently receiving a Pell Grant. Deadline (for Summer and Fall Study Abroad): March 1.

James Madison Fellowship: The Madison Foundation funds graduate school for current and future high school teachers of American history or government. Deadline: March 1.

Morris K. Udall and the Stewart L. Udall Scholarship: Funds undergraduate juniors and seniors who are either studying fields related to the environment, or are of Native American descent and studying fields related to health care or tribal public policy. BYU Deadline: March 2.

J.W. Saxe Memorial Fund: Offers up to $2000 to students taking a no-pay or low-pay public service job or internship during a summer or other term. Deadline: March 15.

US-UK Fulbright Commission Summer Programs: The US-UK Fulbright Commission funds three summer programs at UK universities for college freshmen and sophomores. Deadline: March 16.

Institute of Humane Studies Summer Seminars: The IHS sponsors 12 week-long seminars on libertarian tradition at college campuses throughout the country. Deadline: March 31.

Think Swiss: Think Swiss offers 15 scholarships for a research stay in Switzerland. The scholarship is open to students of all fields. Deadline: March 31.

Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grant: $1,000 grants for undergraduate study abroad. Deadline: April 1.

Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship: Awards fellowships of $5,000 each to members preparing to enter their first year of graduate or professional study. Deadline: April 15.

Phi Kappa Phi Literacy Grant: Awards $2,500 to Phi Kappa Phi chapters and members to fund ongoing literacy projects and create new initiatives. Deadline: June 1.
