The Bubble surfs the Web: www.dumblaws.com

Have you ever thought the state you are from has stupid laws? Well you might change your mind after you check out dumblaws.com.

California has its share of dumb laws.

Those of you who live in San Diego and want to put up Christmas lights may give it a second thought after you read this law.

'The owners of houses with Christmas lights on them past February 2 may be fined up to $250.' Those of you who still have Christmas lights on from last Christmas can breathe a sigh of relief that you don''t live in San Diego.

In Blythe, Calif., 'You are not permitted to wear cowboy boots unless you already own at least two cows.'

That should be a law for anyone who isn''t a real cowboy wearing cowboy boots.

If you have bad manners be careful when traveling to New Jersey. Apparently there is a law that says, 'You may not slurp your soup.'

Also in New Jersey, 'Automobiles are not to pass horse-drawn carriages on the street.'

In Bernards Township, N.J., 'It is illegal to frown as the town is a ''Frown-Free Town Zone''.' No one likes a frowny face.

In Hawaii, the popular magic trick of a coin coming out of the ear, would not be very believable since 'Coins are not allowed to be placed in one''s ears.'

In Oklahoma, 'Dogs must have a permit signed by the mayor in order to congregate in groups of three or more on private property.'

The real question is why do states have such laws. Some of them are from a long time ago and haven''t been revised, and some of them have been forgotten.
