I just had my two cents that I wanted to add to the entire 'R' rated movie argument. And I am not using a rating system that isn't a standard in the movie industry. The movie rating system not only changes all the time, but for members who live elsewhere in the world, the ratings are quite different.
I had a missionary companion who told me how they all went to see 'The Matrix' as a priest quorum and it was a sanctioned activity because he said the movie was pg-13 (or their equivalent) in Australia. Also what is and isn't considered 'R' changes. I remember when the 'F' word could not be said in a 'PG-13' movie. Now they can say it at least twice and still keep their 'PG-13' rating. I am not here to argue about how society's morals are degrading or trying to justify 'R' rated films. What I am saying is quit using a changing standard to dictate your movie morals. Even President Hinckley has understood this point, and that is why in the new Strength for Youth pamphlet we are told not to view pornographic or inappropriate material etc. We know what we should and should not watch.
But don't let a letter determine it for you. Use the principles you have been taught, and let the Spirit be your guide.
