On Tuesday, Feb. 25, Southwest Airlines Flight 2504 avoided a near collision at Chicago Midway International Airport, thanks to the quick actions of its two pilots. A Bombardier Challenger 350 private jet entered the wrong runway, putting itself in the Southwest plane’s path during landing. The pilots, who could see the Challenger in their path, pulled up to avoid a crash. The pilots' maneuver saved the lives of the passengers and no casualties or injuries were reported.
