The Emery County Sheriff's Office responded to a call Sept. 15 about a man trapped in fast-moving water along the side of the Green River in Utah. The local fire department and public works employees arrived in a kayak and threw the man a life vest and a rope. He was eventually pulled from the floodwaters and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
