The 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York City is remembering the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attacks in 2001 with "Tribute in Light." Twin light beams commemorating the Twin Towers will be placed on top of the Battery Parking Garage and shine approximately four miles into the sky.
"Tribute in Light" has been an artistic memorial since March 2002 and lights the sky every Sept. 11 since. According to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, the tribute is a symbol of honoring the lives lost and New York City's unbreakable spirit.
