More than 500 eggs stolen in heist

Surveillance footage captured thieves stealing more than 500 eggs from Luna Park Cafe in Seattle amid a nationwide egg shortage. The U.S. has been facing supply issues and increasing egg prices due to a bird flu outbreak. Many chickens have been euthanized to prevent the bird flu from spreading. It has been done to protect the public from ingesting eggs from infected hens.
