During a recent cold front in South Florida, green iguanas were seen falling from trees as temperatures dropped below 50 degrees. As cold-blooded reptiles, the iguanas become cold-stunned in the chilly weather, which makes them temporarily immobile. Though they may appear lifeless, once temperatures rise, green iguanas warm back up and return to their normal activities.
