The historic Tropicana casino-hotel on the Las Vegas strip was reduced to rubble on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The demolition lasted 22 seconds. The hotel was an iconic site for nearly seven decades and was imploded to make room for the new Major League Baseball stadium for the Athletics. A fireworks and drone show preceded the collapse of the building as a tribute to the legacy of the property.
