A rare Malayan tapir cub — an incredibly endangered species with only about 2,500 left in the world — was recently born at Bioparc Fuengirola Zoo in Malaga, Spain. This marks the first birth of a Malayan tapir in Spain, and one of only 25 born in zoos worldwide over the past decade. The mother and cub are healthy and currently quarantined as the zoo celebrates this important milestone for conservation.
