Wildfires in South Korea have killed at least 24 people, forced tens of thousands to evacuate and destroyed more than 300 structures. The fires began on Friday, March 21 and have scorched southern regions and severely damaged a 1,300-year-old Buddhist temple. Emergency crews continue to battle the flames, with about 4,650 firefighters and personnel working with the help of about 130 helicopters as of Wednesday, March 26. Officials suspect human activity to be a possible cause.
