Leading up to its release on Friday, Sept. 6, Hulu’s reality television show “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” faced controversy among the public and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

This short video features clips from trailers of just a few of the movies and TV shows that have been removed from streaming services like Hulu and Disney+. These, and many other pieces of media, are currently not available to be legally viewed anywhere online. (Nathan Beitler)

Some businesses have suffered, losing customers and revenue during the pandemic, but the streaming service industry has seen an increase in subscriptions.

Daniel Avery grew up surrounded by stories. His mother encouraged him to read and write, and he soon fell in love with being a storyteller. Avery moved from creating movies in his backyard to attending a film- and television-production program at a local community college to taking contracted film jobs in Provo to creating his own films.
