HB118: Bill would provide incentive for students taking standardized tests

A bill being discussed in the 2019 General Legislative Session would make it possible for teachers to give academic rewards to students who score well on standardized testing. Legislators hope this would encourage students to take the tests more seriously. (Lexie Flickinger)

Utah House bill funds youth suicide prevention

Suicide was the first leading cause of death for Utahns between the ages of 10-24 in 2015. National Suicide Prevention Week, held this year from September 11-16, aims to create healthy conversations about the highly stigmatized topic and raise awareness about resources available to those struggling with suicidal ideation.
