Large crowds cheered as presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders joked, 'Someone told me Utah is a Republican state. It doesn't look that way this afternoon!'

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz endorsed Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and promised to protect the Constitution during two tightly packed rallies at the American Prep Academy in Draper and Provo High School.

Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina have little, if any, prior political experience, but they are leading all other candidates in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. These new faces to politics represent a major shift in how the Americans view political requirements when it comes to being the newest commander in chief.

Carly Fiorina's first challenge in the Republican debate was simply getting a spot on the main stage. Now, after a standout performance, her next quest is to convert a burst of enthusiasm for her candidacy into actual support from voters and donors.
