Wilson out, Hall to start as BYU continues to struggle against the run
BYU quarterback Zach Wilson went down against Toledo on Sept. 28 with what appeared to be a serious hand injury. Though there has yet to be an update on the status of his hand, he was seen with a cast, and head coach Kalani Sitake said Jaren Hall would be the starter against the University of South Florida on Oct. 12 following a bye week.

Cougars give their take on controversial targeting rules
The controversial targeting foul recently instituted by the NCAA is aimed at reducing concussions and spinal injuries of offensive players. A defensive player flagged for targeting will be ejected from the game, suspended for at least another half following the game, and the team is then a assessed a 15-yard penalty, giving the opposing team an automatic first down.

Spencer Hadley speaks out about his suspension from BYU football
Prior to BYU's rivalry game against Utah, head coach Bronco Mendenhall announced that linebacker Spencer Hadley would be suspended indefinitely for honor code violations. Later that day, BYU spokeswoman Carri Jenkins confirmed that Hadley had been suspended, but only for five games, but did not disclose exactly how Hadley broke BYU's honor code. This left many fans speculating as to what exactly happened.
