What's Andy Reid's favorite book trilogy? The answer may — or may not — surprise you
In a Super Bowl press conference on Monday evening, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, a BYU alum and long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, an unidentified reporter asked him about his favorite book trilogy.
Reid answered her question with no hesitation.
“How ‘bout the Bible, the Book of Mormon, [the] Pearl of Great Price? I like ‘em all," he said.
On Feb. 9, Reid will coach in the Super Bowl for the sixth time and is the “winningest head coach” in the history of both of the teams competing in Super Bowl LIX.
Reid became an NFL head coach with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999, then moved to Kansas City in 2013, where he has since won three Super Bowl titles.
Reid has been forthcoming about his faith during his entire career. He’s done numerous firesides and headed up the Church’s “Light the World” campaign in the Kansas City area. He makes it well known that he loves to hire fellow BYU alums.
