Powerhouses coming to the Marriott Center: Big 12 releases BYU basketball schedule

BYU basketball fans knew war was coming in the Big 12 this season. But now they know exactly when to gather forces for some big-time opponents.

On Thursday, the Big 12 released the dates for the Cougars' league matchups.

Highlights from the schedule include visits from Arizona and Kansas along with a Senior Night against none of other than longtime rivals, the University of Utah.

This season will be the first time since Jimmermania in the 2010-11 season that BYU and Utah will play each other in the same conference.

Notably, Kansas will also be making its first visit to Provo since December of 1960.

The schedule carries some great opportunities for statement wins at home in Kevin Young's first season at the helm.

All of BYU's games will be played on a Tuesday—Saturday schedule and the schedule features each of the fifteen other conference opponents at least once.
