Cougar cross country teams are headed to the national championship meets

The BYU men’s and women’s cross country teams both competed in the NCAA Mountain Regional meet Friday in Reno, Nevada, and both punched their tickets to the national championship.

Both teams won with 52 points. The women finished with Riley Chamberlain, Carmen Alder, Taylor Rohatinsky and Taylor Lovell in the top 10.
Meanwhile, Casey Clinger, Creed Thompson, Davin Thompson and Joey Nokes finished in the men’s top nine.

To add a surprise challenge, the course ended up with some unexpected snow. But the Cougars were unbothered. Nokes even said it was “lots of fun.”

The fun continues in Madison, Wisconsin for the national championship on Nov. 23.
