BYU's Arielle Mackey-Williams announces she's suffered another season-ending knee injury

BYU women’s basketball guard Arielle Mackey-Williams tore the ACL in her left knee during practice last week, she announced in an Instagram post.

The New Zealand native said the injury is season-ending.

After spending the 2023-2024 season on the bench rehabbing an ACL injury, Mackey-Williams was planning on returning for the 2024-2025 campaign but it appears this season will be a repeat of the last.

Mackey-Williams played on the New Zealand Maori Women’s National Team and won the National Championship in 2021. Earlier this year she was called up to play in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) U23 3x3 World Cup for her home country.
