BYU track's Riley Chamberlain named Big 12 female runner of the week

Riley Chamberlain earned Big 12 female track and field athlete of the week honors for the second week in a row.

The BYU track star has had a fantastic indoor season up to this point setting the BYU 1500-meter record on February first at the John Thomas Terrier classic with a time of 4:08.61.

That won Chamberlain her first Big 12 female track and field athlete of the week. She went on to take second in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:40.89 on Friday at the Husky Classic.

Chamberlain set both a BYU and NCAA record for the distance medley relay with a time of 10:37.58 alongside Meghan Hunter, Carmen Alder, and Tessa Buswell on Saturday.
