BYU softball announces 2025 season schedule

BYU softball has announced its full schedule for the 2025 season.

The Cougars will be participating in four tournaments as well as regular conference play. They have a 51-game season this spring.

Their season will start on Feb. 6 against University of California San Diego, kicking off the La Jolla Invitational. After the La Jolla Invitational, the Cougars will head to the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge, the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic and the Stanford Tournament. After these tournaments, BYU will start conference play.

The Cougars open Big 12 play on the road against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Conference play starts on March 6 and goes until the beginning of May.

Along with conference play, BYU will also go up against Utah Tech, Utah Valley University and a double header against Idaho State.

This is the second year for BYU in the Big 12. Last season, the Cougars posted a 31-23 record overall and a 11-16 mark in conference play.

To improve the team this semester, six freshmen were signed as well as three transfers. All have a variety of skills to help BYU softball this season.
