Both snow and records fell Saturday as the BYU men's and women's swim teams plowed through the Denver Pioneers in their last home meet of the season, 193-107 and 158-142.
Both the men's and women's teams had plenty to celebrate along with the 20 seniors graduating, breaking a total of four pool records.
Emma Marusakova, Mackenzie Miller Lung, Sarah Eliason and Halli Williams started the show with a 1:39.56 to break the pool record in the 200 medley relay.
Williams closed with a powerful 50m to pull away from Denver.
The men's team quickly followed with a podium sweep of the 200 medley relay and a record-breaking performance from Darwin Anderson in the 1000 free.
Anderson pulled away in the last 100m to break the pool record he previously set this season, shattering his 9:25.68 with a dominant 9:17.13. This puts him at 3rd all-time at BYU in the event.
"I honestly didn't think I was going that fast," said Anderson. "It's crazy because that was [my] best time by a lot, so I was just in awe, honestly."
Now, imagine if it happened again.

Yet another pool record fell in the 200 free as Tanner Nelson followed in Anderson's footsteps, breaking his own record set earlier this season with a 1:35.59 and putting him at 3rd all-time at BYU as well.
Not to be outdone, senior Mackenzie Miller Lung continued her dominant season with a pool record of her own in the 100 breast — which she had set last season. Her new mark of 1:00.28 is No. 2 all-time at BYU and her 10th event win this season.
"My first two seasons, I felt like I was kind of struggling," she said. "Then this year ... it's just an awesome feeling. I can't believe it's real."

Going into the last event, Denver trailed the women's team by only seven points, the closest margin they've faced this season.
BYU showed they intended to finish what they started, winning the 400 Free Relay with a 3:21.52 from Haylee Tiffany, Emma Marusakova, Lilly Flint & Halli Williams and securing the women's team's first win of the season.
The men's and women's teams combined for 20 wins across the 28 events.
First-year head coach Tamber McAllister is grateful for "the legacy that [the seniors] have left of dedication, hard work, and consistency for the team."
In addition to the wins to celebrate, the fans in attendance were also treated to the yearly Golden Flipper competition, a relay race between various BYU Athletics teams.
