Accident
A car failed to yield to the right of way of another car, resulting in a three car accident in Lot 45.

A Food2Go driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake when parking and ran into a building’s front glass doors. There were no injuries and the vehicle was towed.

Suspicious
A report was made of a suspicious box on the landing of the third level of the Tanner Building. Upon further investigation, the box had been used to prop open a door.

A man was reported to be seen at the Marriott Center wearing a gun holster with a strap around his leg. It turned out to be a book satchel that had a strap near his leg.

Fire alarm
A BYU track coach reported that a ball had accidentally hit the hand-pull fire alarm in the Smith Fieldhouse, causing the alarm to go off. The alarm and hand-pull were reset.

Ban letter served
A permanent campus ban was served to an individual due to an incident of lewdness on campus.

Medical
A male patient hit another player at the North University Field and was experiencing pain while breathing. He was treated, evaluated and released.

A student reported having a cut on his finger. He was referred to Instacare/Student Health Services for further treatment.

A person twisted their ankle. They were assessed and released.

A person experienced a heart attack and was transported to Utah Valley Hospital.

A person was feeling sick due to low blood sugar. They ate a Pop-Tart and a bottle of juice and began feeling better.

A person slipped and fell on the ice near the Richards Building. First aid was provided and the patient was released.

An elderly male fell at the Family History Center and had a bloody nose. He was transported to Utah Valley Hospital.

A male student was experiencing a possible allergic reaction. He was evaluated and cleared.

Weapons offense
A report was made of someone shooting “gel Orbeez” at pedestrians on Campus Drive. Surveillance camera is being reviewed.

Traffic offense
A report was made of someone using a motor vehicle on the Y-trail. The driver was unaware of the regulations and was educated by an officer.

Disorderly
A report was made of passengers in a white truck throwing food items at other vehicles. The truck was not in the area when the report was made.

Abandoned vehicle
A Jeep Cherokee was found in the north lot of West Campus. An officer attached an “Abandoned Vehicle” notice of towing to the windshield.

Theft
A student reported some personal items to be missing from the Missionary Training Center. The case is currently under investigation.

Fraud
A complainant sent money via Venmo for a fraudulent apartment that was listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace. An officer made a report and educated her on scam detection and ways she may be able to recover her money.

Criminal mischief
A report was made of graffiti on a bathroom stall in the TNRB. Building maintenance will remove it.
