Suspicious
A package was found at the Missionary Training Center with white powder inside. It was determined that the white powder was not an illicit substance but rather a prank involving laundry soap.
Suspicious person
A male was reported to be carrying a crowbar around Wymount Terrace. The individual advised he was a plumber, and he was working in the area fixing pipes.
Criminal mischief
Graffiti was found on a sign that had been posted on a door in the Wilkinson Student Center.
Trespassing
A student athlete was found sleeping in the Student Athlete Building. The student stated that they had previously received permission from the coaching staff to sleep there. This information will be verified through the administrative staff.
Accident
A collision between a BYU box truck and a Ford Bronco occurred. An officer responded to the scene and photographed and documented the collision.
A traffic accident occurred on campus. The drivers exchanged information.
Lost Property
A set of keys were reported missing from the Clyde Building. The keys were later found.
A key was reported missing from the Joseph F. Smith Building. The report has been documented for informational purchases.
It was discovered that a key had been missing from the Engineering Building since 2018. It is yet to be found.
A wallet was reported missing from around the Blue Line restaurant. It has yet to be found.
Animal problem
A deer with a broken leg ran around Wyview Park. Authorities were unable to get the deer to stop long enough or in a safe enough location to euthanize it, so they left the animal alone.
Found property
A police barricade was found in a student’s apartment at Budge Hall. The barricade was picked up and an officer spoke to the student.
Medical
A player injured their knee while playing intramural soccer at the Indoor Practice Field. They were cleared and transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
Property damage
A vehicle hit a parking barrier at the MTC. There was minimal damage to the property.
