Welfare Check
An employee at the Wilkinson Student Center requested an officer's assistance after a distressed individual entered the campus employment office. The individual was not affiliated with Brigham Young University and was seeking a job. The individual showed no signs of criminal or mischievous behavior.

Officers responded to the Y Mountain trailhead to assist a hiker who had wandered off the trail. The person was successfully located and helped down the trail.

Accident
A BYU student employee caused a collision while backing a loading van into two poles. The incident resulted in minor damage to the vehicle.

A two-vehicle crash occurred at 450 E. North Campus Drive. A vehicle driving through a green light was struck by a driver who failed to stop at a red light. No injuries were reported, and police recovered camera footage.

Trespassing
Three men were found kicking field goals on the Stephen L. Richards Building intramural field, which is private property and restricted when the gate is locked. Despite a posted sign and a locked gate, the men admitted to sneaking in. Officers collected their information and issued a warning in the university's records.

Robbery Alarm
A robbery alarm was triggered at the Culinary Support Center, but camera footage showed no suspicious activity. Employees said a staff member pressed the alarm by mistake.

BYU Police responded to a robbery alarm at the Creamery on Ninth. Officers discovered a clerk had accidentally pushed an emergency button near a register. The situation was resolved, and staff were advised on how to avoid future false alarms.

Suspicious
A person reported the smell of marijuana at the Riviera Apartments, but officers found no odor or suspects when they searched the area.

BYU Police received a report of a man loitering on campus near Brigham Square. Officers saw no suspicious or illegal activity, and the man was not found.

At Wyview Park apartments near Building 24, officers responded to reports of yelling. Two people called the police; the first reported a dispute between two people, but did not see them. A second caller said a man was likely yelling at himself. Officers were unable to locate any disturbance.

Medical
An ill but uninjured person was reported at Helaman Halls. BYU Police responded and later transported the individual to Utah Valley Clinic, where they were left in the care of family members.

Alarms and Lockouts
Officers responded to four alarms and two building lockouts, providing assistance to BYU security and supporting the campus community.

Officers discovered two unsecured doors at the Marriott Center during a routine patrol. After a walkthrough of the building, they secured the doors and found no suspicious activity.

Theft
A victim reported their stolen bicycle at the Wymount Terrace apartments. The bike was last seen Dec. 18, 2025, and was noticed missing Jan. 3, 2026, when the bike lock appeared to be cut. Officers found no video surveillance or suspect information.

Citizen Contact
A man met with police to discuss an incident on Nov. 20, 2025, when Harold B. Lee Library security asked for his name before he could leave. The man said he was not seeking to press charges but wanted the incident documented. It was determined the man is banned from the library.

Warrant Service
A police officer caught a vehicle speeding on University Parkway near Lot 49. The vehicle was stopped, and the officer discovered the individual had an active arrest warrant, a lack of proof of insurance and no valid license from the Utah County Justice Court. The individual was arrested, but after jail deputies refused to take them in, they were issued a warning for speeding.

Property Damage
A report was made for a broken bus window in Lot 2. No individuals were present at the incident. The officer said the glass was shattered from the inside, and after reviewing security footage, it was concluded that the window broke spontaneously due to changes in temperature or pressure.
