Provo City is looking for community volunteers to help run the Intergalactic Halloween Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 26.

The event, held at the Provo Recreation Center, will feature a range of galactic-themed activities, including the Area 51 Haunted House, Amazing Trick or Treat Street, Reptile Shows and opportunities for attendees to meet favorite movie and TV characters.

The carnival will take place in two sessions: 3 p.m.-5:40 p.m. for younger children and 6:20 p.m.-9 p.m. for older kids.

Tickets are priced at $8 for the general public and $4 for Provo Recreation Center members. Tickets can be purchased either online through Eventbrite or in-person at the Provo Recreation Center’s Community Desk, according to Provo City Events' Instagram page.

"I helped set up for the event last year, and I get to be present for this year's event, too. The event is very family-friendly," Britney Mccune, a Provo Recreation Center's Programs Desk employee, said. "There will be lots of candies and activities, it's just such a great community event for all ages who are excited to celebrate Halloween."

Volunteers will receive special perks, including dinner, a gifted Threads wallet, two day passes to the Provo Recreation Center, a free drink and cookie voucher from Swig.

Anyone interested in volunteering can apply on the Provo City Events website.
