Glenn Stucki is the founder of Painted Love, an organization dedicated to spreading love through heartfelt paintings.
Stucki is passionate about his art and is a talented artist, but it’s clear to those who meet him that his true passion is showing love to others.
Stucki started painting after a life-altering accident.
"The doctors said my brain would be forever stuck at 11 because that's when my jet ski accident happened,” Stucki said.
Learning to function again after his accident was not easy, and at one point he was even told that painting is not for people with disabilities. But while working as a greeter at Walmart, he saw needs he knew needed to be filled.
"I started seeing kids coming to my door that were like, having bad days, kind of like when I had bad days in the hospital."
He now works full time while creating paintings for people who are going through hard times or simply just need a lift. Stucki calls this effort painting the world with love.
"If everyone painted the world with their love, I think that the world would be so much more happier, so much more beautiful," Stucki said.
Ryan Parker, a freshman at Brigham Young University, received one of Stucki’s paintings and it inspired him to serve others.
"I think it's important that he's doing this, because a lot of people are alone and all they need is that one person to know that they're being looked after, or to know that they're not alone in this world—that there are people who care for them,” Parker said.
Parker became friends with Stucki as a kid and they recently reunited. Glenn created a new painting for Parker, featuring him at a BYU football game.
"I know Christmas season is coming and everyone's starting to think of how they can at least help others a little bit more than they usually do and I think that we can do that for the whole year,” Parker said.
Stucki hopes that people will "paint it forward" and find ways to share love in their own way.
Stucki said that even if he is exhausted after his 40 hour work week, when he has love urging him to paint, he can't rest until it's done.
