Once a month, Downtown Provo hosts artists for its art stroll. The Art Stroll connects local artists to the community with a little help from local businesses.
Downtown Provo coffee shops, bookstores and galleries turn into art museums on the first Friday of every month.
The Art Stroll features a wide range of art from watercolors and sketches to a mini art gallery tucked away upstairs at the Alma Gallery.
“This space I created — I really wanted it to be a place where it really showcased the artists' work, like that was the main focus. There’s no other distractions around it: you walk in, and that's, like, the first thing you see,” Tyler Alexander, the owner of the Alma Gallery,
Many of the shops reach out to local artists and display their art for visitors to view.
Loren Duzzet was one of the artists invited to take part in the Art Stroll. She doesn’t have a camera in her mini photo booth. Instead, she draws quick portraits of her guests.
“I like doing art when there’s humor behind it, and when there’s a story behind it,” Duzzet said.

“We just want you to know that it doesn’t matter who you are — if you’re rich, if you’re poor, if you’re of an ethnic background or a different one — art is for everybody, and we will definitely have something that — hopefully — resonates with you,” Uhi said.
The Art Stroll will be back again the first Friday of March.
