BYU alumna opens vintage clothing store

Vintage clothing store catered to women

Savannah Terry, a BYU alumna, has opened a women's clothing store in the heart of downtown Provo.

"My store is called Cherry Picked Vintage, and the reason I went with that name is I grew up on a cherry orchard," Terry said.

Cherry Picked Vintage is located on Center Street and opened in October 2024.

The store is a small part of Provo's startup hotspot. Provo ranks among the top metropolitan areas in the country and was ranked as "America's biggest boomtown," in part because of its numerous new businesses added each year, according to 2023 reports by Checkr.

Terry studied general business during her time at BYU. She currently runs and manages the store completely on her own.

"I run the store and do everything myself right now," she said. "It's kind of a one-woman show, so I go source everything myself and then I'm the sole employee here."

Terry hand-picks each item she sells from different places all over Utah.

"I do think I have a talent for finding clothes — a 'talent for shopping' is what I've always said," Terry said.
