Traverse Mountain Outlets is spreading fall cheer and supporting local schools with their Big Jack Gives Back charity event. Families gathered for a day filled with games, laughter and community spirit.
The annual fall carnival allows members of the community to support the Alpine School District Parent Teacher Association.
The family-friendly event transformed the outlets into a carnival, complete with games, prizes and a lot of smiling faces. Kids tried their hand at classic games while parents enjoyed the festive atmosphere.
“We are here at the Outlets at Traverse Mountain and every year we do a big charity event. A lot of times we find different charities and basically they sell tickets too and they get to keep 100 percent of the proceeds of what they sell and then we do an event that's different every year. So this year, we decided to do a Halloween Carnival,” Jinger Adams, the marketing director at Traverse Mountain Outlets, said.
Volunteers from around the district have come together to make this event happen. High school students, including those from the National Honor Society, lent a hand.
“So I’m with Lone Peak’s NHS and my favorite part of today is seeing all the kids. They are so cute and so sweet. The tiny kids that come up closer to throw it. It’s been really good to see all the families that are able to come,” highschool volunteer Cambria Tyler said.
Staff from Traverse Mountain Outlets said they enjoy meeting and connecting with members of the community in a meaningful way.
“I love working them, because then I can meet more of my community up close, face to face and people I live near and am advertising to on social media,” Madison Hoyal, the Traverse Mountain Outlets social media manager, said.
Thanks to the Big Jack Gives Back carnival, families have a chance to enjoy the season, support their schools and build lasting memories together.
