The upcoming Easter season offers a moment to more intently reflect on the life of Jesus Christ.

The "Lamb of God" is a popular concert composed by Rob Gardner and performed during the Easter Season to celebrate the final week of Christ's life. One group is performing the production in Spanish for the third year in a row.

When artistic director Diana Angulo was first introduced to the production in 2018, her first thought was, "my mom will never be able to listen to this.”

So Angulo had the idea to translate the "Lamb of God" into her native language.

“We need more music in Spanish," Angulo said.

The Spanish Production made its debut in 2023 after three long years of translation work.

“My vision was not as big as God’s was," Angulo said.

Angulo said her mother told her that when she heard the "Lamb of God" in Spanish she could feel the love of God for he and for her people.

Choir performer Dallin Salway also commented on the special feeling of singing the production in Spanish.

“It’s just so powerful to see their reactions as they, you know, understand and connect with these stories a lot more on a different level," Salway said.

The production was incredible and what's even more exciting is Angulo and Gardner are working to get the Spanish version published in the near future. Then Spanish groups around the world will be able to sing these beautiful arrangements.
