Nate Dennis walks into a room with only a long wooden table polished to the point it reflects the light above, leather-lined chairs and two nicely dressed men with scribbled-on note pads and fancy pens. The detour she chose, however, eventually led her to her goal of teaching and beyond. Described by others as a kind, compassionate woman, she not only overcame her biggest weakness, but it eventually became one of her biggest strengths and biggest joys.

Anson Winder jumped out of the snow and into the car to head to school. Despite the snow on the road, he took a sharp left-hand turn at the normal speed. Suddenly, the brakes locked and he was sliding right toward another car. In the nick of time, his brakes caught and he was able to correct the turn, narrowly escaping a collision.
