One study group is sticking together through a tough semester.
Four students, majoring in communication disorders, were assigned to a group presentation at the beginning of the semester. The group didn't split up after it was done.
"We did it once and now it's just assumed, study room on Wednesday at 3:30?", said Ady Merrill, a study group member.
They became friends and made studying together a weekly function.
"We just enjoyed studying together so much that we kept it going," said Meghan Mortensen, a group member.
Every Wednesday, the only day their schedules match up, you'll find them helping each other through a heavy workload.
"It keeps me motivated to get my assignments done," Mortensen said.
They agree that working with friends helps them to get a lot more out of studying in lots of ways.
"It's been helpful to study together, quiz each other, work on assignments together," Mortensen said.
At the end of the semester, they're looking forward to getting the study group back together in January.
"Even though we're not in an assigned study group, we should still do this because it's so nice," Merrill said.
