Students meet with business firms at BYU

Although it's only the beginning of the school year, students are already vying for internships and full-time offers from businesses for the next summer.

Stretching across the entire Marriott Center, more than 70 companies came to persuade students to join their teams.

BYU student Will Snow said events such as this are one of the reasons he wanted to be a part of the business school.

"They do great at bringing in firms to meet with you, to tell them about themselves, to set you up with recruiters, they tell you how to apply. What they are looking for. They do a great job with that,” he said.

Recruiters said they love the Marriott School of Business and how it connects their companies with the best students.

"I think BYU students have a very high caliber, no matter what their major is they know their stuff well,” recruiter Katie Behr said.

From financial firms to wellness groups, government agencies to accounting offices, business students have a wide variety of companies to choose from.

Despite the massive amount of students who attended, there are plenty of internships to go around.

“We have 30 to 40 intern positions, we've, like, the last couple years just had two BYU interns, I think we'd like some more than that,” Behr said.

Although this is one of the business school's largest events for Fall Semester 2024, the college will continue to have recruiting events planned throughout the year.
