Assault
During pre-football activities at Helaman Fields, a player assaulted two opponents in a game of touch football by striking them in the face. It resulted in a facial laceration that may require stitches. The suspect and his dad quickly left the scene before officers arrived, but BYU staff members volunteered to help identify him.

A man and his wife were exchanging his wife's children in a parking lot during a football game with his wife's ex-mother-in-law. The man confronted the ex-mother-in-law about the negative way she speaks to his wife, and, in the heat of the moment, she slapped him. They started to argue, and she slapped him two more times. The man later requested charges, and the case has been referred to the Provo City Police.

Criminal Mischief
There was vandalism in one of the bathrooms at the Museum of Peoples and Cultures. It involved tagging and leaving paper products scattered across the floor of the bathroom, and appeared to have taken place during a field trip.

Property Damage
A rock wall east of the Hinckley Center near a U-turn lane was damaged. It was suspected that a snowplow may have caused the damage, but security footage did not reveal a clear cause.

Disturbance
An individual at Stover Hall complained about people throwing snow balls. When officers arrived, the suspects had already left.

Theft
A bike owned by an individual at Merrill Hall was stolen, probably during the Thanksgiving break.

Medical
Police responded to the Indoor Practice Facility (IPF) after two soccer players collided and one dislocated his shoulder. After arriving, officers learned the player's mom was there and was going to transport him to the ER.

A woman at the gym in the Smith Field House was treated by BYU EMS after exhibiting various symptoms including shortness of breath, lightheadedness and feeling faint. She was later transported to the hospital.

Suspicious
Officers responded to the JRCB after receiving a report about a man with slicked back, black hair and wearing a tan suit "being creepy." The man was eating food, asking people questions and claiming to have graduated from Juilliard. Once officers arrived, they found that the man had left the area.

A man was reported going through vehicles in a parking lot. Observers noted that when he bent over, his pants would slip down and reveal his butt due to the lack of underwear. Once the man was located, it was determined by the authorities that he was experiencing mental health issues and no criminal activity had occurred. He then left campus to go to his aunt's home.

Drugs - DUI
A driver was arrested for DUI at the Y trailhead after being discovered drinking and smoking marijuana with a group. The driver admitted to consuming the substances before and during the visit. After confirming the driver's impairment he was charged with DUI, open container, possession of marijuana and license revocation.
